Enchantrix's FAQ

• Q0: I have a n00b question

A: No you don't, a noob question is a question not asked.

Downloading

• Q1a: Enchantrix isn't working any more!?!
  
• Q1b: What happened to Enchantrix?

A: Enchantrix is part of the Auctioneer Suite, and working as far as we know.

• Q2: Enchantrix says that it found something is not disenchantable in the chat! What's up with that?
  

A: We are still gathering new data and Blizzard has modified some items in patches. Enchantrix will learn about items that cannot be disenchanted (even from mousing over the item with the disenchant spell active) and add them to your SavedVariables. If you find a lot of items not in our database, please contact the developers in the forums or chat and work with them to update the database.

• Q3: Enchantrix got something really, really wrong!
  

A: Post details in the forums, with a snapshot of the tooltip, plus the prices of each material that the item could DE into. Most likely there's just a bad price on one of the items.

Other problems: Not caused by Enchantrix

• Q4: I get the following error-message when I try to unzip an Enchantrix release-zip file: cuz.exe - Illegal System DLL Relocation. The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occured because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL.
  

A: This is an issue with one of the recent Microsoft security patches (the one used to patch the ANI vulnerability). A work-around is posted here (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448).

Other issues

• Need to download an Alpha/Beta/Other version:
  
  • step 1: Go to the download page
  • step 2: Scroll down for the "Other downloads and developer versions" (don't select any of the release-versions)
  • step 3: Click on the addon-title you want (e.g. Enchantrix)
  • step 4: Select the version you want to download.
